Breast Augmentation
"I can't believe how easy the surgery was.  It's so fun to buy clothes now. I love to shop for bras and bathing suits!" - L.S.

Dr. Anderson uses advanced techniques and the safest implants available to create the firm, beautiful bust line you desire, with the utmost in beauty, safety, and quality in mind.

You will also have an opportunity to try on sample implants to help determine the new breast size you have in mind. We have special garments to hold the implants in place. You can review the possibilities for your figure and determine which options are best for your lifestyle.

Below are some frequently asked questions. These are designed only to provide you with general information regarding this procedure. We will provide you with extensive information during your complimentary consultation. Any further questions or concerns may also be addressed at that time.

What kind of implants are available?
We use safe, saline-filled implants to enhance your figure. These implants provide a more natural appearance and come in a variety of shapes and sizes to help you achieve your desired look. Silicone gel implants are available only to select patients at this time (those who need breast reconstruction after mastectomy or those participating in FDA clinical trials and satisfy the FDA criteria).

Where do you put the implants?
Implants can be placed either in front of or behind the chest muscle. Breast implants placed under the muscle require a slightly longer recovery time,

What will my recovery be like?
Each woman experiences a different recovery time due to varying factors such as overall health and the size of the implants. Generally, you should be able to return to your daily routine after one week. Athletics and other strenuous activities should not be resumed until a minimum of one month has passed.

What are the risks?
As with any surgical procedure, there are risks involved, such as infection or bleeding. Scar tissue may develop around your implant, which may harden and need to be revised. The nipples may become more sensitive or numb. Infection or implant leakage may occur. (if your implants leak, the saline will be absorbed by your body with no harmful side effects.) A small percentage of patients are unable to breast-feed following surgery. However, complications are rare.

Will there be scarring?
Your implants can be inserted from under the breast fold or through the areola. The small incisions can be placed strategically for minimal visibility.

How do I know if breast augmentation is right for me?
The best candidates for breast augmentation are women who are looking to enhance their figures. If you are physically and emotionally healthy, and realistic in your expectations, this procedure may be right for you.
