What Can Blepharoplasty Do?

  • Correct hooded upper lids or sagging lower lids, both of which can begin to appear as early as in one's 30s.

  • Correct hereditary conditions such as overhanging upper lids which frequently run in families.

  • Remove the puffiness and bags under the eyes that can create a worn, tired look.

  • Eliminate excess fat, muscle, and skin, leaving the eye with a much more youthful, firm appearance.

What Can Blepharoplasty Not Do?

  • Diminish, but not eliminate dark circles.

  • Eliminate all the fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes.

  • Change sagging eyebrows

If these factors are a concern, Dr. Anderson may recommend a brow lift, facelift, or laser skin resurfacing to be done in conjunction with corrective eye surgery.
