Dr.
Anderson will want to clearly understand your concerns and
expectations to better determine if they can be reasonably met.
He and his staff will do everything possible to achieve the
results you desire and make your experience a satisfying one.
These
questions and many more will be covered during your
consultation.
When
is the best time for cosmetic surgery?
When a particular area on the face has been a concern of
long-standing duration, or when your outer appearance does not
reflect your inner spirit you should consider cosmetic surgery.
What should be expected in an initial consultation?
Thought of as the initial planning and information session, be
prepared to discuss the exact improvements that you hope to
achieve. Once the goals of the surgery have been clearly
determined, age, general health, skin type and texture, as well
as bone structure will be assessed.
Digital images are usually taken at this time to assist in the
study of facial features and in the planning of specific
surgical treatments.
What should be expected in a second consultation?
At this time, digital images will be made and what changes
should be expected.
A date for surgery is set, a standard consent form is signed,
and detailed information on post-operative care is passed along
to the patient.
How much time off work will be required?
Usually 1-2 weeks. More minor procedures may have minimal
disruption of normal activities.
Will I be in the hospital?
Most cosmetic procedures are performed in our private clinic on
an outpatient basis and patients return home that same day. The
only exception would be adults having several procedures, who
may require one-night stay. Some patients may require, or elect,
to have their procedure in a hospital.
How long does it take to schedule surgery?
We do our best to accommodate patients on the date requested for
their surgery. However, because of the nature of our busy
practice, it is best to book well in advance to assure a date.
Can I talk to Dr. Anderson's former patients?
A former patient's frank, first-hand account of their cosmetic
surgery experience can help alleviate many fears or
uncertainties that a new patient may have about this process.
That is why we encourage this pre-surgery research at our
clinic. Our office staff would be happy to set up information
interviews for you should you choose to do so.
What will it cost?
Fees will vary depending on the procedure. Surgical fees include
all consultations and all post-operative care related to the
procedure.
Other fees include hospital or operating charges, as well as the
costs for anesthesia. Fees are payable in advance of surgery.

Will insurance cover it?
Typically, insurance will not cover cosmetic surgery unless it
is medically necessary. Check with your insurance company prior
to having any procedure done.
